Discussion Questions, 9/2/12

1. How do our answers to the big questions of "Who am I?" and "Why am I here"? impact the way we live?  What does a look at your life reveal about who you are and what you believe you're here for?

2. How do you think your life fits into the grand redemptive story that we find from Genesis through Revelation?  What are some symptoms of living in your own story instead of living in God's story?

3. When you think of "a holy life", what sort of things come to mind?  Read Leviticus 19, and talk about the characteristics of a holy life.  How does this chapter adjust our thinking about what holiness is?

4. Peter tells his readers to live good lives among the Gentiles (v.12).  What does that mean in your context?  How can you resist the inclination towards conformity and/or aloofness?

5. How do our lives AND our words join together in making God known?  What are the dangers of limiting are witness to only one or the other?
