Our Purpose
As we meet together with God in celebrative worship, we want to lovingly lead lost people to Christ and to raise up a body of true worshippers.
What is "Worship"?
Worship is the priority of the Christian, It is much more than singing, bible readings, offering, and a sermon. Worship is a continual response to God's expression of love. "And so dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice , the kind He will accept. When you think of what He has done for you, is this too much to ask?" (Romans 12:1)
What makes the Worship Service at Joy Unique?
When our worship celebration is complete, we would like you to have the following impressions: The worship celebration at Joy Community Fellowship ...
- was done with excellence, but not at the cost of authenticity
- was not performance-oritented
- was creative, utilizing a variety of the arts
- had lyrics which are in line with the Bible--in a style that is culturally relevant.
- does not leave behind the church's musical history
- had few distractions, and smooth transitions
- was structured, yet flexible
- was understandable, yet profound
- above all else, had Christ as its center
Our hope and prayer as a worship leaders is that you would know Jesus better as a result of the worship time. Our desire is to be ministers, not performers. We want to introduce you to Jesus, the Savior of the world. We want to lead His followers at Joy in praise, worship, and adoration of Him, Who alone is worthy!
